چکیده
one glass bead of 3 mm diameter per 5 mnl of blood. If this is not practicable blood may be collected into heparin and then defibrinated in the same manner after the addition of excess thrombin to neutralize the heparin. Blood from patients on chronic dialysis often requires the addition of thrombin to facilitate defibrination because of the residual heparin and other circulating anticoagulants present after dialysis. Where the suspension is ultimately to be used for tissue typing sterility in these and the following procedures need not be strictly observed, but should the cells be for subsequent culture sterility must be maintained throughout.

Evaluation of Variant Lymphocyte Count in Peripheral Blood Smear of Patients with Mycosis Fungoides and Its Comparison with the Normal Population
Background and Objective: Mycosis fungoides is a neoplastic skin disorder whose underlying cause is not yet fully understood. There are hypotheses about the possible effect of viral agents on the development of mycosis fungoids that have not yet been proven. The present study aimed to evaluate the lymphocyte variant in peripheral blood smear of patients with mycosis fungoides fungoids to determ...
متن کاملHuman bone marrow lymphocytes. I. Distribution of lymphocyte subpopulations in the bone marrow of normal individuals.
This study was undertaken to determine the proportions and in vitro immune capacities of lymphocyte populations in the bone marrows of normal humans. Relatively pure mononuclear cell suspensions were obtained from bone marrow aspirates by linear sucrose gradient centrifugations. Simultaneous peripheral blood and bone marrow specimens from each individual were assayed for lymphocyte surface mark...
متن کاملIs CD19 an Immunological Diagnostic Marker for Acute Appendicitis?
Background: The appendix is considered as part of the gut-associated lymphoid tissue; however, lymphocyte subsets in this tissue are not fully defined. Objective: To investigate and compare the function and phenotype of lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood and appendix of patients with normal and inflamed appendix tissues. Methods: Peripheral blood samples and appendiceal mononuclear cells we...
متن کاملEvaluation of proliferation and cytokines production by mitogen-stimulated bovine peripheral blood mononuclear cells
This in vitro study was conducted to evaluate lymphocyte blastogenic and cytokine production by bovine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) stimulated with phytohemagglutinin (PHA), pokeweed mitogen (PWM) and concanavalin A (Con A) mitogens, by using tetrazolium salt and ELISA tests, respectively. The results presented that Interleukin-2 (IL-2), IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, IL-17 and IFN-...
متن کاملHuman bone marrow lymphocytes. Cytotoxic effector cells in the bone marrow of normal individuals.
This study was undertaken to determine the capability of lymphocytes in the bone marrow of normal individuals to mediate nonspecific killer cell functions in assays of phytohemagglutinin (PHA)-induced cellular cytotoxicity, and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) against 51Cr-labeled chicken erythrocyte target cells. Relatively pure mononuclear cell suspensions were obtained from bo...
